Albert DeSalvo “The Boston Strangler”, Boston, Massachusetts (Active: 1962–1964)

Between June 14, 1962, and January 4, 1964, a series of murders were committed in the Boston area, attributed to the individual known as the Boston Strangler. The victims, predominantly women living alone, ranged in age from 19 to 85. Most were sexually assaulted and strangled within their residences, with no signs of forced entry, suggesting they may have willingly allowed the assailant inside.
